Employee experience reimagined.
A productivity dashboard for Comcast employees, reimagining the intranet as a unified workspace. The design merges communication, tools, and daily tasks into a single responsive hub — simplifying how employees stay informed, organized, and connected.
Challenge
Comcast’s intranet had become fragmented, scattering tools, resources, and daily tasks across multiple pages and platforms. Employees had to jump between places to find information or take simple actions, slowing productivity and creating friction. The challenge was to unify these disconnected experiences into a single dashboard — one that integrated deeper with existing systems, introduced AI assistance, and made everyday administrative work feel seamless.
Results
The new dashboard transformed the intranet into a focused, actionable workspace. By unifying communication, tools, and third-party platforms, it lowered cognitive load and brought everyday workflows into a single view. Deeper integrations created a coherent experience, with modules like To-Do, Tools & Apps, PTO, Pay, and Events giving employees a clear, connected way to manage essential tasks and information.
Getting Things Done
The To-Do module brings together everything an employee needs to act on and know about — tasks, reminders, and status requests. Designed for clarity and focus, it not only organizes work but allows users to complete it directly within the dashboard. Clear hierarchy, smart grouping, and inline actions help reduce context switching and keep priorities visible throughout the day.
Tabs allow users to filter between All, Tasks, Reminders, and Status. Users can also switch between table and card views.
Actions are nested within interactions to accommodate greater information density and reduce cognitive load.
Launching What Matters
The Tools & Apps module serves as a personalized launchpad for the tools employees use most. Favorites and recommendations surface what’s relevant, while search and customization make it easy to adapt the workspace to individual roles. The design balances structure with flexibility, giving each employee a starting point that feels both personal and connected to company resources.
Staying Connected
Beyond daily tasks, the dashboard gives quick access to life-and-work essentials — from paid time off and payroll details to upcoming company events. By surfacing these modules alongside productivity tools, the design creates a more holistic view of the employee experience, keeping important information visible without breaking focus.
